| Having lived in France for six years
recently and still spending several months a year in France, allows us time to
select the most interesting and unique French antique fabrics and vintage
French textiles as well as many French decorative objects -- which we then offer on
these pages.
Most of the items come from Mediterranean France, but many items also come from the entire area between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. The Languedoc region of France is not only famous for wine, but is also renowned for fine architecture and for the many chateaux that dot the countryside. As part-time residents of Languedoc, we are in a unique position to be able to buy French antique textiles, fabrics and antiques directly from our neighbors and other residents of the region. How to order: Links to interesting textile- or fabric-related sites: -- antiquequiltdating.com (excellent site loaded with information) -- Em's Heart Antique Linens (antique white linens and laces) -- fabrics.net (general textile and fabric information) -- Fat Quarter Shop (Quilt shop specializing in Fat Quarters) -- Fontaine Marcousse (excellent Languedoc wine) -- French Accents (17th-19th century French & Italian antiques) -- Lindrix (information source for textiles) -- Marla Mallett Textiles (Oriental textiles & rugs) -- Quilt Appraisal Page (Deborah Roberts' appraisal site) -- The Quilter Magazine (quilting information and projects) -- Show Associates - Sturbridge, MA (Linda Zukas textile shows) -- Tara Maginnis and costumes.org (costume & textile information) -- Shaposie's - (unique evening purses by MS Buckley Sutton) -- PayPal - (Online payment service) |
