07821: There are two large pieces of this unusual Art Nouveau medium-heavy weight cotton.  The background is a medium beige with an all-over pattern made up of tiny little off-white circles, giving a sense of airiness or lace.  The large-scale floral foreground motif is in very soft shades of rose and green.  These pieces are 1.5 fabric width pieces and measure 47"W (seam) x 108"H.  Each piece has a couple of small holes.  Ca. 1900

$235.00 USD per piece

05994
:  Here are four pieces of a medium-weight cotton fabric from the late 19th century.  The wider stripes, measuring 7.5" wide,  have a black background.  The foreground motif is of plums hanging from meandering branches, interspersed with branches of coral and tiny flowers. Coral branches and sprigs were a popular 19th century motif and were often paired with botanical motifs.  Each piece measures 31" wide x 108" long.  Ca. 1890

$145.00 USD per piece

07461
: Pulled from an armoire where it had been stored for decades, this is a piece of unused percale-weight toile from the late 1800s. The background is near-white.  The foreground motif of reeds, flowers, orchids and exotic birds is rendered in a very unusual color scheme of mahogany brown and pale watery blue.  The subtlety and interplay of the colors is indeed special.  31"W x 208"L. A few pale "freckles." Ca. 1880

$550.00 USD

06160: There are two single fabric width pieces of this wonderful Art Nouveau stylized floral print.  The background is a very muted Bordeaux shade.  The undulating peony pattern is done in gradations of shades of rose with pale, soft spring greens for the leaves.  The stylized floral motif has tiny flowerettes on the edges of the stamens. This is a very pretty color scheme and would coordinate well with many interiors.  Each piece measures 32"W x 8.5' L.  Ca. 1890

$155.00 USD per piece

07075
:  There are four pieces of this muted floral from the late 19th century.  The background is a soft, medium, very calm green.  The foreground motif is of daylilies and tiny posies, floating in a random pattern.  This piece is one of those that shows both elements of 19th century design as well as hints of 20th century design.  The colors are soft and almost neutral and would work well in many decors. Each piece measures 34"W x 114"H.  Ca. 1900

$175.00 USD per piece

04783:  Here is a very pretty mid-20th century chintz in unused condition with a cocoa brown background and a gracefully meandering floral motif in muted tones.  The cotton is a fine quality and the glazed finish like a fine chintz.  This wide piece measures 52"W x 100"L and the vertical repeat is 18.5".  Ca. 1950

$135.00 USD per piece

07325:  There are four large pieces of this medium-heavy cotton fabric with a background that is just off-white. The romantic neo-classical foreground motif includes undulating bouquets of roses and rosebuds tied with flowing blue ribbons and surrounded by tiny daisies and forget-me-nots. Very French! Each large piece measures 32"W x 96" L.  Each piece has at least one small spot, but these pieces are in overall good condition.  These are much prettier than the photo. Ca. 1880

$210.00 USD per piece

05538:  There are two single fabric width pieces of this dramatic and sophisticated medium-weight cotton print.  The background is black with a coffee-brown, fancy trellis motif that looks almost like lace.  The foreground pattern is of tan and ivory garlands forming cartouches around central bouquets of  flowers, berries and leaves.  Each piece measures 31"W x 9.2'L and each piece has a couple of small holes.  Ca. 1890

$155.00 USD per piece

07154:  Here are two large panels of late 19th century rarely-found, machine-woven tapestry fabric.  The verdure motif depicts a forest and jungle with large ferns, flowering trees and vistas to a distant sea.  This fabric is medium-heavy cotton. Although it was originally a drape, it would work very well as upholstery fabric and for cushions.  A wide view can be seen <HERE> and a micro view can be seen <HERE>. Each large panel measures 45"W x 90"H.  This fabric is much prettier than it appears in the photo. Ca. 1880

$175.00 USD per piece (one piece on HOLD)

07666:  This is a pair of French mid-century drapes that would have been used in a den or a child's room.  The background of the barkcloth-like medium-weight fabric is a pale beige - just off-white.  The large-scale foreground motif is of carriages and equipment that were used by the 18th and 19th century French postal services.  A close-up view can be seen <HERE>.  Each panel measures 72"W at the bottom edge by 98"H.  Unique!  Ca. 1960

$55.00 USD per panel or $100.00 USD for the pair

item 07666

07218:  Here are three huge pieces of this classically French percale-weight cotton.  The wide, pale stripe has a delicate formal background.  The foreground motif is of cartouches and medallions filled with roses and dripping with floral vines.  The picture does not show the subtlety of color, but the squarer-shaped medallion has a slightly darker background than does the larger medallion.  Two of the large pieces measure 32"W x 116"H.  The third piece is slightly more faded and has a couple of spots.  It measures 64"W (center seam) x 108"H.  Ca. 1890

$95.00 USD per piece for the large single width and $100.00 for the double-width faded piece

05243:  In the style of the finest Aubusson, this panel was woven in the north of France in mid-19th century.  This large panel has a dark brown background and a brightly-colored foreground motif of many varied exotic flowers and foliage.  A micro view can be seen <HERE>.  Although there is some color variation from sunlight, the panel still retains its glorious sophistication. Wide views can be seen <HERE> and <HERE>.  This piece is a heavy, woolen machine-made tapestry and would have been used on walls.  There are some minor flaws and one 2" hole.  The panel measures 56"W x 120"H.  Ca. 1850

$890.00 USD

06117:  Here are three single fabric width pieces of medium-weight cotton.  The background is a deep red (not bright as it appears in the photo).  The foreground motif of all-over, scattered floral, is in black.  This color scheme was a 19th century favorite and was used often in bedrooms!  Each piece measures 31"W x 98"H.  Late 19th century.

$95.00 USD per piece
