french vintage velvet fabric 03776 03776: Here are three pieces of a rarely-seen Art Deco cotton velvet with a dramatic color scheme. The background is a brightly-colored mélange of yellow, orange and tan squiggles. The foreground motif, of scattered maple leaves, is done in a muted blues. Each piece measures 46"W x 23"H.  (I have one very large piece available also. french antique fabric 05362 05362: There is a piece of this Napoleon III-era percale weight cotton print fabric. The background is black and the large-scale foreground motif of wind-blown poppies and marguerites is in muted autumn tones. This pattern is much more beautiful than the picture shows. The piece measures 31"W x 45" L. Ca. 1880

08014: This medium-weight cotton has a muted blue background and a fancy diamond-pattern weave as can be seen in the photo. The large-scale foreground motif included peonies and hydrangeas in the palest summer shades. This piece measures 29"W x 65"L. Ca. 1890

french vintage tropical fabric 06465 06465: Here is an Art Nouveau print with a springtime freshness and an almost-tropical feel. The fabric is a percale weight cotton with an off-white background. The background also features groupings of very pale yellow vertical stripes that represent a trellis. The foreground motifs of large-scale blue iris and oversized fern fronds look to be clinging to the yellow-stripe trellis. A couple of small flaws on each very large piece. 48"W x 55"H. Ca. 1920

French antique table cover 06954: Here is a heavy woven cotton table cover from the era of Napoleon III that would have been used on a side table in the parlor or salon. Taking design inspiration from kilim carpets, this reversible table cover is woven in dark blue, soft red and beige. Close-ups can be seen <HERE> and <HERE> and the reverse can be seen <HERE.> 56"W x 60"H plus 3" knotted fringe. There is some color variation from age and a couple of faint spots. Ca. 1880

05994: Here are three pieces of medium-weight cotton fabric from the late 19th century. The wider stripes, measuring 7.5" wide,  have a black background. The foreground motif is of plums hanging from meandering branches, interspersed with branches of coral and tiny flowers. Coral branches were popular 19th century motifs and were often paired with various botanical motifs. Each piece measures 31"W x 50"H. Ca. 1890

French antique floral toile 08312: Here is a very long, narrow piece of early 20th century red and white floral toile. A wide view can be seen <HERE.> This piece was gathered along one edge when I bought it and had likely been a flounce for a bed skirt. The gathering has been removed and this very long piece is ready to be reworked for your projects. 19"W x 220"L. Ca. 1900

08264: This is a heavy rustic linen tea towel with a blue stripe, a hanging loop and a tiny red cross-stitch monogram. The blue and white kitchen accessories are rarely found. Overall good solid condition, but a couple of small spots. 28"W x 34"H.  Ca. 1920

07573: Here is a piece of cheerful red and off-white cross-stripe French vintage ticking. The wider red vertical stripes are crossed by narrow red horizontal stripes. This is an unusual ticking pattern that would go well with toiles, rustic linens and cottons and with other red tickings. 42"W x 68"H. Ca. 1950

07075: There are four pieces of this muted floral from the late 19th century. The background is a soft, medium, very calm green. The foreground motif is of daylilies and tiny posies, floating in a random pattern. This motif is one that shows elements of 19th century textile design as well as hints of 20th century design. The colors are soft and almost neutral and would work well in many decors. Each piece measures 34"W x 55"H. Ca. 1900

08800: This piece of French vintage ticking fabric has an unusual and very pretty color scheme with bold stripes of cherry red and rose that alternate with stripes in pale shades of maize. This is a long narrow piece measuring 17"W x 72"L.  All tickings have been freshly washed and ironed. Ca. 1920

08681: Here is a dramatic Art Nouveau medium-heavy weight cotton. The background is a very pale mocha with an all-over pattern made up of tiny little off-white circles, giving a sense of airiness or lace. The large-scale floral foreground motif is in very soft shades of rose and green. Micro-view <HERE.> This piece measures 32"W x 50"H. It has a couple of very tiny holes. Ca. 1900

08771: This is a piece of softly-faded and aged French vintage ticking fabric. The wide stripes in soft rosy red alternate with groups of stripes that include tan, rose and navy blue. This is a rarely-seen color pattern. Overall good condition, but a couple of pinholes and some faint marks. 46"W x 40"L.

mid-century vintage fabric curtains 03488 03488: This is a set of vintage American curtains in a medium-weight cotton fabric with a lovely soft scrolling floral and acanthus pattern. There are two pairs of curtains plus a piece of unused yardage. Each panel of the two pairs of curtains measures 23"W x 70"H. The unused yardage measures 47"W x 100"L. Ca. 1940
