07301: Here are four large pieces of a late-19th century medium-weight cotton with a tone-on-tone resist dye background motif of feathery ferns. The foreground motif of large scattered flowers is done in muted shades of rose and olive. Even though this fabric is 100 years old, it is in excellent condition. 07128: Here is a very large piece of a
percale-weight cotton print from the late-19th century. Arranged
in a stripe pattern, the classic motif is of climbing rose vines bearing
full-blown roses. The colors are in deep tones of forest green and
rose-red. This is a dramatic motif and is prettier than the
picture shows. 30"W x 100"H.

08001: Here is a pair of American vintage barkcloth drapes in near-perfect condition. The large-scale tropical motif of elephant ears and exotic flowers is arrayed on a pale gray background. This pair of lined drapes is double-wide and measures 86" wide at the bottom edge x 82" high. The top is pleated to a width of 47". 05889: This softly-faded print is on a percale weight cotton that is very soft from repeated launderings. The large-scale Art Nouveau-style background of stylized undulating leaves is in pale blue and prussian blue. The foreground floral motif, inspired by paisley patterns, is in soft pastel tones. There is some color variation in these pieces and a spot or two. Each of the two pieces measures 31.5"W x 120"L with a 26.5" vertical repeat. Ca. 1890 $135.00 USD per piece |

06895: There are four single fabric width pieces of this nice-quality percale-weight cotton print from Provence. The background is a creamy off-white. The unusual and lyrical floral motif of inter-twining bouquets in muted warm shades of reds and golds, moves up the fabric in a diagonal. Fine tendrils of fronds and leaves float around the bouquets. Each piece measures 31"W x 100"H. These pieces are in overall good condition, but do have some slight color variation and a couple of small spots. Two of the pieces have slight water marks. This fabric is much prettier than it appears in the photo. Ca. 1900 $125.00 USD per piece

05620: Here are three single fabric width pieces in a medium weight cotton. The background is a very deep midnight blue. The foreground motif is of romantic pale pink climbing roses and rosebuds with muted, almost neutral-toned leaves. And, for a touch of whimsy, there is a small bee buzzing near the flowers. A close-up of the bee can be seen <HERE>. Each panel measures 32"W x 108"H with each panel having a horizontal seam about 28" from the bottom edge. III-era floral in medium weight cotton. The background is an
unusual shade, hovering between gray and blue with a tone-on-tone
pattern that echoes the foreground motif. The foreground bouquets are
made up of delicate springtime plants such as daisies, marguerites,
mimosa and ferns. Other tiny flowerettes and trailing vines complete the

The all-over scattered floral foreground motif includes stylized tulips, peonies and roses. The floral motif is printed in the lovely muted sun-drenched colors of a late-autumn day.
